I have 94 leaf packs on my 98 sport and the drivers side is sagging more then 1/2" below the passenger side. I was origonally going to go for AALs (i already have shakles) but heard they would just settle back to the same ride hight i already have. So then I decided to go with F150 springs, none of wich I could find in local boneyards. So maybe I could get them re-arched and use the AALs like i planned. NOPE no spring shops around here re-arch leafs!

I know Mass isn't known for their offroading but this is getting inane. There is one yard that has the springs i want, but I can't pull them, they don't alow anyone in the yard, and the price is high.

Should i just buy a new leafpack at Ford for the drivers side then go with AAL? Would the F150 springs cure the sag and give me that 2" i need for my 32s?

I'm trying to get this in order today while i still have some money left over from my paycheck and a quick reply would be great.

Thanks

You can either look around and find some 2" leaf springs or get stiffer leafs from ford. Explorer leaf springs come in something like 5 different stiffnesses, you might want to find something a bit stiffer than what you have. Or you could either get ome OME 2" lift springs or get some custom made ones.

una,
Sorry to hear the the F150 springs are few and far between (& pricey) in MA. The F150 swap probably will not give you the 2" you need for 32s. You're going to need a BL, too. I got almost 1.75" out of my F150 swap. At this point you might want to consider buying new 'F' code (stiffest) Ex leaf packs from Ford and an AAL. With the shackles, you should get the 2" of suspension lift you're looking for. However, the stock leaf packs do not provide any additional load capability like the (1/2 ton) F150 leaves would. If that's not an issue, then stock leaf packs are a good solution. I would not buy just one pack to cure the sag. The packs should be replaced in pairs (otherwise, you'll have 'passenger sag'). If you check the "Lift & Tire" sticky, you'll see what's needed to clear the 32s you want to install. Depending on the wheels and amount of timming you want to do, you'll need at least a 2" BL.
Good Luck - Dave.
