Today i took off the baffler where the air intake starts. Torque increased. You can notice a big difference at highway speeds when you gun it.
well.. let the scolding about letting water in begin!

If it's the part I'm thinking about then I would be more worried about the heat from the near by exhaust manifold than water. Of course I have the same problem with the KKM intake and other than moving the battery and fabbing a custom intake or perhaps using a late model style intake I don't see away around getting the intake air charge temperature down while promoting good flow.

No no.. I'm talking about where the air intake starts at the bumper. exhaust manifold isnt anywhere near that.

Sounds like you removed the "silencer". Read this thread where I explain a way to further open the airbox.

that might not work for me since my battery is in front of the airbox.

is that for the 4.0l:confused:

err.. i ran into some rain last night and i think water came in. Could drilling holes in the bottom of the air box help drain water?

Yes,
A lot of guys on here have drilled a drilled air box. For that and for extra airflow.

Thats a relief. Because i broke the silencer off with a long screwdriver

Don't you mean custom modified the air box with a special silencer removal tool. :)
