Motorcraft spark plugs...

Quick question...why don't the Motorcraft plugs come with crush washers? I've never (I don't think) seen plugs without these.

I'm not sure of the plug #, but all I was able to get at Advance Auto were SINGLE platinum, not double platinum as is called for.

I don't think it matters, anyhow...the gap was WAYYY off, so I had to adjust them and most definately damaged the platinum.

I was ALWAYS told to NEVER gap a platinum plug because you destroy, well, the platinum and defeat the purpose. I'm not sure if this is correct or not, but just what I've been told by many.

not sure if it is true or not but hopefully not because I just bought Motocraft platniums myself and needed to gap them to .055

Who told you that? Its simply not true; always check the plug gap and adjust if necessary.
