Mountaineer

Hey everyone...

This is my first post here, but I've been doing a lot of reading. I looked at the Tire Chart but I'm not sure if those sizes apply for Mountaineers.
Here's my deal... I have a '98 Mercury Mountaineer, and it's all stock right now. I hate the way the tires look on it. It has a whimpy appearance, and I want some tires that are bigger and beefier to give it a more rugged look. Does anyone know the biggest size tire that would fit on a stock mountaineer with no lift? Maybe even some suggestions for some nice reasonably priced tires?

I have the same Mountaineer on Welds and 31" BFG ATs (no lift)

wow, that gives it such a nicer look. forgive me for my lack of lingo and/or knowledge but what do you mean by on Welds? I'm just starting out with all of this. very excited, but inexperienced none the less.
