I have seen a couple of threads where the HID ballast were placed in engine bay next to intake, battery, and behind front shroud. I was just wondering how you guys installed them? Did you mount them with 3m double-sided tape or mounting hardware which came with the HIDS? Lastly is there anything to be worried about when mounting the ballasts? Thanks in advance.

i mounted mine behind the battery, and air filter. i used the hardware that came with the kit. you can use the two sided tape, and tape the ballast to the brackets. you might also have to shave a little bit of the fingers (or tabs if you prefer) off the filter box. the only problem i have had is that my relays have gotten wet, and i have blown one (i don't know if it is coincidence or not).

I did the same. I used the hardware that came with the VME kit. I drilled an extra hole in the mount and used two rivets to hold the bracket in place.

radio interference

I have noticed that after I installed the vvme kit that I get interference on radio when headlights are on. Has anyone else seen this?

Mine are hidden below the "headlight access panel". With the exception of one wire to the battery, you wouldn't know where they were.

akcrxnj - I get interference as well when they are on. Only noticeable in weak reception areas.
