i bought a different antenna then what is supplied....i bought this through glass antenna and its worked wonders and gave me much better reception then the other antenna since it had a better view over my truck....and its hard for punks to steal it
Just about the only place to mount the other XM antenna is on the back around the roof rack. It is not very obvious there and you can hardly see it. I also had the model that ODXTOXIC had, but changed it and went to the smaller one. Personnaly I cannot tell the difference in reception between the 2. You cannot put it under anything and it must be outside the vehicle to pick up it's reception from the satelite.
I mounted mine above the front passenger door and ran the wires under the weatherstripping to the top. However, I also had other accessories which had their wires run through the top of the rear hatch to the rear roof.
I bought an XM Commander and it came with the new Micro Antenna, and I put it centered above the front windshield and ran the wiring under the weatherstriping. If I knew how to put up a picture I would.
