i recently moved to laramie wyoming, and i used to live in sioux falls sd. I know that sioux falls is alot lower than wyoming casue im basically in the rockies now. My truck (1993 4.0 limited) ran great in sioux falls it had a lot more balls there too. now if im on the interstate i have to mash the petal to the floor to hold 65-70. in sf i could hold 90 with out trying.
i knwo that the air is a lot thinner up here is there anything that anyone know that could help me ou t with this "small balls prob" thanks

What's your altitiude difference betwen then and now?

Could go with forced induction, supercharger or turbocharger, that's what piston driven planes do for high altitudes:D

Try resetting your computer. Disconnect the battery for about 5 minutes and hook it back up. The computer will then "learn" the new air/fuel ratio based upon the thinner atmosphere. This may help your problem.

yeah i was going to recommend resetting the battery... also might want to try a more open MAS or air intake if you can... the altitude does make a huge difference, which is one of the reasons that a lot of drag racers that can do the 1/4 mile in 11 seconds at sea level, take about 13-14 to do it up here.

I remember when driving across Wyoming with my GPS I noticed that at least half of the trip was at or above 7000 feet. For every 1000 feet above sea level you go up you need to deduct 3% from your horsepower. At 7000 feet your 160 HP engine is good for 129.3 HP which is about the horsepower of most modern 4 cylinders at sea level.
