I own 31x10.5x15 wild country rvt's.will they be good in the snow? I understand that a wider tire is worse than a skinny tire in the snow, but since they are mud tires wil the tread depth make up for the width? thanks.

My MTs are awesome in the snow. I wouldn't worry about them not performing as well as a skinny tire. Just drive safe! :D

thanks man.

I have had MT's on everything I own and would not run them in the snow if you paid me. I think they are death traps on hard packed snow and ice. I do run them in the summer and like them but they work just like ice skates in winter. They are really good for deep snow wheeling and what not but on the road here in Colorado they are just scary. Something you could do to improve them is get them sIped (sp?) at your local tire shop and that would greatly improve the winter traction.

thnk i might stick with the goodyear atd's for the winter, and then change over in the spring, i need to do a tt, and shackles anyways...

I had the same tires on my 99 Jeep when we where stationed in Utah they work great in snow.

I ran 33" MTs through 2 winters and they were good, but like hvac man said, they sucked in the hard packed snow and ice. They got me to work when others couldn't though. Just watch out when you are turning and you should be fine.
