Ok guys, let me start out by saying I know very little about anything having to do with car audio.......BUT, I ripped out the net thingy in the cargo area and it won't go back in and I need something to replace it. I was thinking about putting a thunderform back there. Problem is, I have the stock stereo, so will this sub work with it? Also, I'm going to buy a non-amped version. Do I need an amp for it? How much can I expect to pay for one? Lastly, does anyone besides MTX make a sub/enclosure that goes back there?

an issue i dont know jack about, but i hear a q logic enlosure may work back there? dont quote me on this tho

I looked at all the enclosure fitting subs out there before i decided on the amplified MTX one. I decided on going with the amplified version for installation ease and the fact that i am not a loud music fan.

Good luck.....

aldive, do you know of any other sub enclosures that fit in the cargo spot?

the easiest way is to buy an amplified thunderform. if you buy the unamplified one, you need an amp (and you have to find a spot to mount it).

JL audio makes one, but it's a lot more expensive.

Stealth / Hidden Boxes

Ok, here is what I have found -

JL Audio makes 2 different enclosues; one is the fiberglass Stealthbox ($469 - $515) which includes a 10" 10W1, and a Vantage Box ($175-$212), which is made of plastic and does not include a sub.

As noted above, Clarion, Q-Logic and MTX also make enclosures for this location.

Hope this helps,

Adam
