I have a 98 sport. I want a muffler thats gonna give me some sound, close to a F150 with stock duals. Any suggestions. Also, is it pretty simple to install. How does it go on, just bolt on? I want to use all my stock pipe, yall just set me on the right path. Thanks John

i'm sure there are going to be a few different opinions, but if your going for a certain sound one thing is for sure.....

Turbo mufflers tuned correctly at the muffler shop will produce a deep tone and sound quite well on a v-6 or v-8 if installed properly. they tend to go more for depth that loudness. So, you get more of a bassy tone.

good luck!~

I like my vorteck cherry bomb. Its sounds exactly like a flowmaster except its not loud on highways like flowmasters are.

I have a flowmaster delta 40 series

I love my flowmaster and it sounds awesome. It sounds real mean when you get on it and when you are idling. It sounds exactly the same as my buddies mustang with duals and I only have a single muffler with a chrome tip. It is nice and deep when you get on it and not real loud on the inside. You can hear it if your radio is not on kinda loud but thats it.:D

did you just replace the muffler, and not the pipes.

I'd sudgest cat back.

yep

My under carriage is immaculate and there is no signs of rust on my pipes or cat and why spend the money to replace something that will last for a long time. Even my muffler had no signs of rust on it and the guy who welded up my muffler said wow this is a surprise that it is so clean under here. I have had my vehicle going on 4 years now and didn't replace anything under the vehicle. The muffler sound just wasn't cutting it so, I went with a flowmaster and I am very pleased with the tone of it and I get many compliments on it.
