Okay well it seems my ex has some problems that I've neglected for a while...Firstly I have a low humming coming from the front under hard breaking. I think this humming is from bad bearings. I also have a shaking problem in the steering wheel and dash under hard breaking. I think this shaking comes from warped rotors. The final problem, is on sharp right hand turn and when I hit a small bump with the driver front wheel I hear a bump. This only happens on the right side on right turns and on a bump.

I probably answered most of my problems, but some input would be nice :)

well i think your right about the warped rotor . the bumping on right turns could be your ball joints, ( which i heard explorers are notorious for) or possibly your cv joint if you have 4 wd, if you have 4wd when cv joints go bad they grind on turns.
i was a mechanic for a chevy dealer for 4 yrs , warping rotors are usually caused by 2 things excessive heat, and over torqued lugs nuts. if your a heavy braker,( ie excessive heat) if your calipers arent releasing ( again excessive heat) you can warp rotors. good luck ...

Another thing you might look at is shock and torsion bar bushings. They can give you bumping noises also. The humming noise when braking could be worn brakes or even tire noises. Especially if the tires have uneven wear.

when I replaced the shocks in front and rear, the bushings on the a-arms were badly shot, but I couldn't replace them because I have no idea how to. I had my tires rotated recently, so I don't thionk uneven tire wear is the problem. I'd have to say I have bad ball joints, and warped rotors from yalls responses. Thanks Ill head over to my mechanic and see what he can do.
