This is mainly for anyone searching to find.

I have Skyjacker 2" lift coils in the front and Explorer Pro-Comp add-a-leaves along with Warrior shackles in the rear. I got about 2" of lift out of it all. I needed longer shocks in the front, but the rears were OK. I'll probably get some longer ones for the rear fairly soon for better flexing. Brake lines were all OK.

Ride: The ride is better than it was before with the longer coils and new shocks in the front. The rear is slightly stiffer than before, but I can only tell when I try to pay attention to what the rear axle is doing when I go over a bump. I have to disagree with those who say a ~1.5" AAL will make the ride "harsh."

Enjoy my opinions. :D

Same opinions as you. I think it's a pretty nice kit for the price. The rear flexes pretty nicely. The front, well, not so much. I don't expect much out of a nearly stock TTB though.

if you did not have the AAL would the back still be level with the front ?

Probably not.

It sits level as it is right now with everything I have. If you don't want an AAL but want a little lift, I'd recommend shackles for the rear and some coil spacers for the front.

Edit: I just noticed you're in Missouri. If you're not far from Columbia or are passing through sometime you can see mine or even have a ride.

You can get a better ride and flex with eb (early bronco) coils :D

did you NEED the shackles to make it even?

I have the Skyjacker 2" kit coming soon, and it was advertised as 2" up fornt and 1.5" in the rear.... seems like adding another 1.5" in the rear with shackles would create a noticable rake.

oh.. well, right now I'm about even, which either means I have sagged equally in both the rear and the front, or I just have minimal sagging.... hopefully its the latter so i dont need to get shackles.

Plus, I believe Explorers have a little bit of rake already. By adding 2" to the front and a little less to the rear it could even it out.

i have a TT in the front (i know you guys are first gen) but i got ~2 inches out of it, and then i have BOTH the AAL and the WAR153s and my truck sits level. Go with both if you are in question. Most lifts wont give you the maximum lift that they advertise...

ya ! see mine is like 1in. up in the back , and im going the 2in. springs in front , so i'll start with the war's in the back and see how she sit's..

Come take a ride in mine :D
Maybe the skyjacker AAL is different then the pro comp?
My leafs were also in great shape. I actually gained a little more then 2" with the AAL. I have a slight rake now.
My ride while ok, is a bit harsh over bumps, & more so on speed bumps. The whole rear end crashes down hard.
Maybe my stiff Pro Comp ES9000 shocks have a play in it?

Maybe it is your shocks, I don't know.

If you want harsh, try taking a ride in my Mustang SVO with all the Konis set on stiff. :p

Short aals will make the rider stiffer than longer ones like the skyjacker. I have skyjackers on mine and it doesn't ride too bad in my opinion. I also have worn ass stock shocks though too haha.

navajo is a 2 door I believe so you will need to swap in 4 door leaf packs, as I think the 2 doors have mono-leafs.

It would work fine, you would just need to do the same thing any Sport owner had to do.

This isn't true. 2dr Explorers did come with monoleafs, but that wasn't until the 95-01's. ;) Since the Navajo was only made from 91-94, he's got springs.

for the people that got the 2" Skyjacker... what sze Tie Bolts do you need? Because my skyjacker lift didnt come with anything but the AAL's and coils.
