Well it's been in the family for years, taken us all on many great trips & camping adventures.

I may just keep it, & fix the little things it needs,

It is kinda ragged out looking, & the family has almost no love for it.

I never liked driving it much though.

So now i'm thinking it has a strong 3.0L V6 in it, and the trans was rebuilt at least once.

Already has an 8.8 rear too.

Now I want to build a sweet sandrail out of it. I may even use the frame & just leave what I need & add a cage.

My question is this, how can I find out exactly what all I need to carefully remove along with the engine & trans to make it all run & work without the cabin attached.

I am mostly concerned with wiring, electronics, & emissions Items that I would still need to keep. I don't care about gauges or any part of the cabin.:aerostar:

Welcome to this forum! Are you trying to convert it into a pick up truck?

Thanks, I'm thinking about converting it to a dune buggy, and just want to figure out what is needed to run the engine & auto trans. Wiring, computer, and emissions system bare essentials.

I can easily do all the other things needed to complete the vehicle.

Hey Tony!

There are a few relays & modules behind panels, but most of what is needed is in the front. You should take pictures to document this project. Post everything in the Aerostar section of this site.

I could post pics, & wouldn't mind doing that for others who want to make use of that tough as nails Vulcan motor.

It may take me quite some time to get started, since I have 2 other rides (jeeps) to work on first.

I do feel like the Vulcan would make a good power plant for a trail blaster.
