Hi,
After just totaling out a 2000 Sport, I bought a 98 4dr AWD.
Under the hood there is a hood switch on the oassenger side, yet, dont see any light fixture? It sure seems to be for a engine compartment light. Any thoughts?
Also, What do you think the best plugs etc are for the V8?

What do I need to do to mount my 2000 255/tires to this 98 that calls for 235's? As far as the speedometer accuracy?

Did it come with keyless entry and the anti-theft system? My 94 has a similar switch. Its for the anti-theft.

I'm not completely sure but you may be able to get an electronic module to change the speedo. I'm not sure if your year has an electronic or cable speedo. Start by seeing how your truck is designed. You should be able to contact superlift or other lift manufacturer for correction options.

I just saw the reply today, 1/7/10.
I used to get email notice when someone replied, but I haven't yet got one of those.
THanks 92X and Rick. The anti theft makes some sense although I had anti theft on the 2000 and didn't have a hood switch.
Is there a way on the search function to type;"hood switch" and have it only show results for hood + switch? At present, the results will be anything with hood or switch.
