Hi, i have a 94 4wd 4dr explorer, i need help. back before i bought it the prev. owner but in a Viper system.

Problem: when i press the lock button it UNLOCKS the doors but ACTIVATES the alarm, and is the same then i press unlock(locks the door but deactivates the alarm)

Problem 2:

Some times when i try to start the car it tries to start for like a split second, last night i had several things go wrong, the lights where acting like i had my hazerds on but i didn't. or the relays under the dash continually click. and sometimes the relay switch locacted in the panel where the jack is located will click as well>>>.(note: i checked all of the relays/fuses and all work fine)<<<
last but not least sometimes when i go to start it the dash lights act like there was a power surge, getting brighter then normal for a second.

Is there anything that can be causing all of these problems??

i was told it could be anything from a loose wire to the Neutral Safety Switch.

and if anyone would know where that is on a 94 explorer that would help thanks.

Update: about an hour ago it did it again it would go to start then like shoving a stick in someones bike wheel ... stop. i tried diconnecting the + side battery, it worked ...for a minute. then when i reattached the + to the battery my explorer would automatically start. now i am thinking it might all have something to do with the viper//keyless start system ???? you think???

Thanks i will do that. but i don't think that the battery cables could be doing that? you think?

I think i did that already, but i will try it again

Still having problems.

I have power and everything turns on as it should when i turn the key to the "on" position. Then sometimes when i go to start it i hear "click" then no lights no dash no nothing.

checked the starter
OK

Checked the Selenoid (on firewall)
replaced

Battery & connections - and + fine all around

Someone know what could be causing this??

I pulled codes:

337 egr

189
186
181

what do these three mean?

i looked it up and i sound like its the O2 sensor(s)

MY QUESTION

on a 94 explorer where are the O2 sensors located??????

The Explorer does start after i remove the + cable. but i have had the connections checked is there some sort of safty switch that cuts ALL power?

Thanks.
