:exp: hey y'all I'm new to the forum and just wanted to say hey!! I've got a 99 ford explorer sport 4.0L 4x4....waiting on the man at a2 salvage to find me the right tranny for her as he sold me the wrong one last week and after paying to have THAT installed, took it on a "test drive" and it did the exact same thing as it did to me a few days prior and just coasted til i couldn't coast no more all the while having power and the engine running it just wouldn't"catch gears and go" sooooo they in turn say "oh that's too coincidental so that's got to be something else",other than the tranny.......well it was......the transfer case! Call a2 salvage and they said "yea I've got the t.c that actually came off that tranny, that'll be $150"....I tell him listen i just bought this tranny from you for 250$ and spent 100$ in trans oil and filters, could you let it go for 100$.....he said "o.k" and i went and picked it up and had the guy put everything back together and it still just wasn't right......took it to A certified mechanic and come to find out I got sold the wrong tranny for my truck and the t.c doesn't go with that tranny!!
