My 99 Ford Explorer Sport

Hello,
I'm Greg and I own a 99 Explorer Sport. It runs good for a 21 years old. The Explorer needs work. The first thing I want to do is replace rusty rear bumper and original nerf bars. Glad to come across this site. Exactly what I have been looking for.

Greg, welcome. My wife drives a 99 Sport. When we got her truck almost 5 years ago one of the stock step bars was rusted out pretty badly along with the rear sections of the rocker panels. I repaired the rocker panels & found a set of step bars from a regular cab Ranger. Since the inner rocker panel in the area where the rear step bar mount was I relocated the mount to fit the Ranger step bars. Here is a pic of my wife's 99 Sport.

Good looking Explorer Sport with the step bars. Mine looks the same but blue. I will search for some used Ranger step bars. Working on driver side window won't roll up issues now. Thanks for the reply.

Welcome to this forum! Check the wiring between the door, and the frame. They develop cracks over time from opening & closing. Sometimes it could be a bad connection in the bulkhead connector behind the kick panel.
