What could cause the AC compresser to stop working. Had it serviced less that ayear ago and upgraded to new freon.

My A/C doesn't want to turn on.

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the A/C & heater section. There is a pressure switch which prevents the A/C from turning on if it's low on freon. Check the pressure as previously suggested, and the switch with a continuity tester. These pressure switches go bad sometimes. I had to replace the one in my 1995 van last week.
