Here is my new toy. Barely 24 hours old, for me at least. Bought her stock last night, this morning, woke up, took her to the shop, and took her mod virginity. 2 1/2" catback w/flowmaster 40 series. Reason I didn't do 3" is because I wanted to spend my money elsewhere, maybe sometime down the road I'll do dual with 3". Then, I went over to the stereo store, bought a brand new Dual CD/CDR/CDRW/MP3 player with the IPOD hookup along with a viper alarm w/remote start. Both of those will be installed in the morning. I dont know where I am going next with this. Any suggestions? Anyways, onto the pics

Clean looking X. Welcome to the place here. I wouldn't do a dual 3". The OHV engines like 2.25" the best. Anything larger especially over 2.5" and you will loose torque.

Cool truck. You sure are modding quickly

Next mods I would do would be intake, bigger TB, and bigger MAF. I like the go fast parts. Then I would lift that bad boy and put some 33's on it, but thats me. :D

I would put an intake on next..then I would lift it and put some 33's on it. Good lookin explorer

I'd skip the fun stuff, if that motor has got 100+ miles on it... look into new rocker arms and pushrods from www.delta-cams.com They make a kit specifically designed to fix the issue with the pushrods wearing quickly from the factory on these motors. You probably have a minor ticking, thats probably your pushrods. This will restore a lot of lost power in that 4.0 :D THEN do the fun stuff. 66mm throttle body, nice set of headers... hehehe

But if you plan on getting into fun stuff right away, i say rear disk conversion, and 4.10-4.56 gears. Then on to some bigger tires. Its always more fun to run the big gears before the big tires, and your truck will thank you later =)
