My brake lights don't work, and I can't shift out of park.

Hello I am a new member. I am from the Kansas City area. I was given a '93 aerostar, I use it for work. I have had minor problems since I've had it (2 mos.) I am currently dealing with shifting. I can not shift out of park. I replaced the brake light switch but still no luck. The brake lights do not come on either. What is the next step ? Thanks for having a free site

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your post into its own thread in the Aerostar section. Did you check the fuses?

Well if neither work, then I'd say the switch isn't switching what it's suppose to. Follow the wiring starting at the switch, and work backward.

i have not checked the fuses, there is no cover to the fuse box so i dont know the order. i will go pull out fuses now. the guy at auto part store told me it was brake bulbs. But when headlights are on so are tail lights, but when i depress brake nothing happens
