Tranny leak :-(

I can't seem to figure out what those switches do. Are they part of the sunroof?

So, my question is, what do those little switches do by the sunroof? Also, does the engine sound alright? I think it does, but I'm hoping for your opinions since you guys are around them all the time.

NICE no rust even how much did you pay for it? dont jump to conclusions about the front seal, cus i did the same thing, and i was freakin out about that when i thought thats what was wrong ended up being the servo, and some lines check it out. sounds ok just like mine :) haha whats up with the nascar start switch?

and the switches, haha you have the same exact explorer as mine i swear the one that says asc is on or off if its on (with the red showing) you can open the sunroof and then when you shut off your ignition it will shut with it off (no red showing) nothing will happen. the one above that you press to the right and it will open, hit it again and it will close.if you press that button to the left it will open the vent, hit it again it will shut, the other button just shuts it.

Ooooo, nice. I had no idea what it was. I haven't tried it with the switch on yet, so that's why it wasn't doing anything. I only paid $700 for the truck, so when all is said and done and I get the transmission done, I'll have paid about... $1500 for it? Sweet deal, in my opinion, especially since, for the first time in my used car buying career, EVERYTHING WORKS!!! (except the transmission) :-P

The previous owner put that switch in because apparently he replaced the ignition switch and it still didn't work, so he said "frack it" and put a switch in to start it. I don't think I'll change this because I look at it as a nice little security feature :-P

lol 2 93 Eddies :-P Have any pictures of yours?

Hey, I think I should mention, too, that there's an exhaust leak. I'm guessing that's a simple thing to fix? Just put in new piping from the cat back, right? Anything specific I need to know?

Very nice looking truck, great price!

There are lots of options for exhaust, do a search on this forum...

Wow, looks like you have the mother of all tranny leaks!!! How'd you get it home?

Mike

Hah, yes, it's bad. We towed it on a flatbed, but we had to give it fluid to get it up on the trailer. It bled all over the place. Took a full 5 quarts to get it up there.

I just tried that switch thing again, and it must have a blown fuse or something because it doesn't work. I'll have to look for a diagram on the forums here of the fuse box, seeing as how I don't have one.
