Year, Model & Trim Level
1998 sport
time: 8 hours
difficulty: could have done it in 4 hours but had to go buy new sockets, bolts did not fit right so i had to improvise with oversize nuts and washers, fan shroud wouldnt connect because of a radiator hose

my questions?
-for some reason after i had the lift on there and got to looking at each an every bolt for some reason a few of the bolts would thread perfect but have about a 1/4 inch where the head is? i fixed it like i said but anyone else same problem?

- after checking tightness of all of my bolts my body sounded like it was popping after gasing then braking in traffic

aftermath: i really cant seem to feel a drastic lose in power and actually with the 33's my car rides a hell of a lot better. i have a stiffer suspension and the body roll actually less'nd when i got the 3 inchs on there but i believe its because of the monster meats (boggers)

8 hours, Jesus, you blew me out of the water. Glad you got her all bolted up.

do you know what the poppings from i retightened all of the bolts and it still pops around turns and when i pull out of places as if the blocks are shifting

Not sure. Doesn't sound like the body. Did you check to see if the tired are catching on the plastic inside the fenders? That could be the pop in turns.

ya the tire does catch but its more of a tugging feel but i talked to a guy at a 4x4 place and he said it may could be that PA ssent me the wrong bolts and to put more washers on.

I'm not sure. It's impossible for me to venture anything more than a guess without hearing it in person. As long as you have enough washers in so that your bolts are locked down tight and there's no spaces, I can't see it being a problem.

ya me neither i want to take it off road really bad but cant because i need to make sure its not messing anything up before i stress it out off road plus them boggers love my fenders because i still have to tt and shackle it. i still have to get a hold of a camera to post them pictures

maybe the bolts are to long and you have run out of thread?
Did you use the washers provided?

yes many more along with it

cstanton. how much trimming did u have to do to fit 33's after the body lift?? do they even fit with just the body lift or do u need to do a tt 4door leaves and shackles?

since i have boggers the nobbies killed my inner back lip of the fender but actually i didnt do any trimming except taking off the corner plastic and the lawer valance where the fog lights were but no cutting.

they wont fit just with a lift you need to tt and rear leaf as well.I did it first with just tt and leaf without bl and it rubbed its nuts off on the inner gaurd every corner i took .Now i did the 2inch bl and no probs at all.

well all i had was boggers which stick out more than most tires and i drove it 50+ miles a day for a week and i only took off my corner plastic and just had to take it easy but even when i tt and shackle i still scrubbed just as bad.
