Ohhh my nightmares continue. After my recent string of problems with it (Losing AC Charge, blown radiator, leak in a steering pressure line) now the car has decided to go havok on me. Its 10PM but all I hear is the car randomly honking, lights going on, and locks engaging and disengaging. I read about a RAP Module for it while others mention worn/broken cables in the drivers side. What else could be causing it? I am seriously dead tired of spending so much on repairing it now, especially such a random problem out of freaking nowhere like this. Will probably just disconnect the poles so I don't bother the neighbors anymore. Ugh. Any other takes? Does my Explorer have a RAP module (i read something about certain 2000+ models not having one). My car has remote entry and also has the keypad.

Can I disconnect the RAP unit (somehow) meanwhile without any issues?

I don't know much about these, but I'm learning... I do know if you have keyless entry, you do have a RAP Module. I think it is located in the jack compartment, right above the drivers side rear tire. I would think you could pull a fuse, or relay to disconnect it. I'm not sure witch one though...Good Luck!
