It'll do for now. Audio is like drugs, you cant get enough!

I'd say go for it as well... Sounds like an excellent starting point, because audio can become addicting :D

It looks good. My only comment, and I might get some grief for this, is that your rear should have back seat speakers. Some people say they aren't necessary but I think they help a lot with stereo imaging. It's my experience that when sitting in a front seat you hear the rear speaker on the opposite side of the car as much as the front one. That also brings up the point that the sound in the backseat of your car is going to suck with no highs or mids. I know this means your going to have to add two more channels of amplification some how but I think it's worth it. My two cents.

if i do buy an extra pair of 5 X7's would it be okay if i just ran them from my HU ?

Hey Murok I just checked the specs on all the equipment and, I may be in the minorty here because I don't have a trunk full of woofers, but you seem to be very woofer heavy in your system. All of you front speakers will only be getting 22 watts which is good but not really very loud. And then you're filling the trunk with giant woofers getting 225 watts each. You won't hear hardly anything from the rest of your speakers. Or you'll have to turn the gain down on you sub amp so much to balance it properly the sub won't be in it's optimum working range. So it won't sound so good. Just a few of my thoughts.

you have a pretty good starting point. but i agree with everything zensius said.

instead of getting more 5X7s, get a 5.25" component set for the front stage and use those 5X7s for the rear. you need to run the components off an amp, but the rear 5X7s can just use the headunit's power.

those type-r subs will sound great, but you need the midbass/mids/highs to balance out the sound or you wont hear any words and the sound will be muddy. go for a good sealed or ported enclosure.

thanks guys for responding, The two 12" subs are in a factory alpine sealed box, met for their exact measures and sq, any comments?

the sealed box will do a great job for sq.

I loved my 12" Type-R. You'll be happy. But the guys are right...you are gonna need to get a little more power to your speakers. I agree, get a component set for the front and throw the 5x7's in the back. You don't need that much more power to run your speakers really...50 watts to each would be fine.

In my old X I had around 60 watts running to my components and my rear 6x8's and I was running the amp at 2ohms. I had my single 12" Type-R and that was getting over 400 watts and the bass/mids/highs were quite balanced in my opinion. The smaller speakers are much more efficient than the big subs. It doesn't take insane amounts of power to get them loud and clear.
