I noticed about a week ago that I have a leak coming from my front diff. I have pinpointed where it is leaking, but I won't be able to repair it for a few weeks.

My question is, am I doing any damage to it by driving it?
I assume I am not as long as I don't use the 4 wheel drive. Any thoughts or comments?

Thanks!

As long as you don't have the TRAC CONTROL system, you'll be OK until you fix it.

I also have a front differential leak- apparently from the driver's side axle seal.

You might try putting a couple of ounces of brake fluid in the differential if it's a seal problem - the fluid may swell the seal and stop the leak. I haven't seen any product on the market specifically for differentials.

Is your differential dry, or just low? I recently topped mine off with about a pint of fluid, but it never seems to go completely dry. I just watch it, since I don't use 4WD that much, except in winter.
