Alright, My gas guage don't work and i really need it to work, cause sooner or later i'm gunna calculate it wrong and run out of gas. It reads empty all the time, however, when you turn the truck off it does rise up a little bit. Where should i start? Sending unit? gas guage? One thing is the speedo starts going whacky when i go over 45, think there is any internal damage in the speedo cluster? So where would you start?

Most likely your float has a hole in it (sinks to bottom). You'll have to drop the tank and pull the sending unit out to have a look.

Yeah, mine was like that when I bought it.

Check the wiring that goes into the gas tank. One of the wires controls the fuel pump, one is the gas gauge, one is ground, and I can't remember what the other wire is. Maybe you have a cracked wire or something bad in the wiring that isn't registering the fuel level to the gauge.
