It wangs with only 250W on it right now. I need to get a deck with cleaner preouts (looking at a Nak z40 off of ebay), get an Optima Yellow and a 200A HO alt.

Box is kind of like half a CRX box with a slot port instead of aeroports. 3.9CF, 3.25CF after sub and port displacement... tuned to about 35Hz, 40sq inches of port, 22" long. Box is more of an SQL box. For a 15" sub the thing is VERY tight... not so much as my Shiva in a 2.25CF net box tuned to 30Hz but imo it's tighter than most of the systems i've heard around.

Roof flexes really nicely, hatch rattles extremely loud. Put foam tape on the tailgate and window seams but doesn't do much. I think it's more stuff rattling inside the car like lock actuator and whatnot. It's pretty pointless putting full power on the sub yet since I don't even have the vehicle sound deadened.

Outside the car standing it's not that impressive... people say they can hear the system inside their houses when I'm playing it but I can't really believe that seeing how quiet the vehicle is outside. My Shiva didn't get that loud outside either. The bass takes some distance to develop so that's probably why.

Had to resize the pics, and I noticed too late that I have night mode on so some of the pictures have the over exposed effect which you don't see on a 2*2" LCD.

In addition a little off topic (some observations):
I have a Shiva port firing on the same side as the woofer... hits very hard. When I face the woofer out my hatch with hatch open with my system bumping you can't even hear the damn thing.

The Kove has a CRX style thing goin, sub up, port to the hatch... hits even harder than the Shiva inside. Outside with the hatch open standing like 10 ft away the bass cannot be heard well.

I put my buddies two black 10" Pioneer best buy woofers in there... the ones you get for like $80CAD and u get the second one half price. 125W RMS/400W peak. The box is sealed and too small too (1.25CF). I put these in my SUV with the hatch open and you can actually feel these things pumping and hear them too from a distance of like 10ft away.

What the hell? I mean yeah I know the sealed box that is too small makes a bump in the response curve but that can't account for it. Maybe I have cancellation... I don't think so tho. It can't be with the Shiva cause the port is going in the same direction.

So yeah these things sounded loud outside... with the hatch closed they still seemed to be loud outside however inside the car the bass was not hard hitting at all compared to what my subs can do. I know there is a difference between hearing and what the mic hears but I still I don't get it.

I love kove subs,I just got rid of my two 12 inch armageddon's:( I will probally be buying more soon :D

I know what you mean about hearing it inside houses. I just installed my latest system in my '97, and it will damn near blow your ear drums out from inside the cab, but outside it sounds like (2) 10's or something low powered. But I've had people sware that they could still "feel" the bass from inside their house.

You might want to lay that big box flat and put your rear cargo cover on. That booming sound of yours will attract lots of would be thieves around your block or neighborhood. It'll cost you your system and a rear hatch glass. Just looking out for ya, man. Don't want you to lose your thumpin' system. :)

I agree, lay the box down so that the driver is facing back and vent facing up..... tell us the difference it makes..... besides being slightly less conspicuous...
