my lights blink

so i just got my first truck and its a 2000 xlt. and looking it over i see no problems except for one thing. when i switch on the headlights they blink dim to bright. i can make them stop if i screw with the switch for a little bit.

anyone have an idea what this is and how to fix it.

welcome to the forum, check through the lighting section for similar related problems. but if you have to jiggle the switch to get it to work it usually needs a headlight switch. hope this helps
