my new 2002 explorer

well i broke down and because of a LOT of problems with my 2000 i bought a new 2002 explorer.

initially i didn't care for the latest body style. after driving it i changed my mind. especially when ford released the "sport package".

i wanted some very specific options and the dealer had to locate one for me out of state.

i got a toreador red, 4 door, v6. it has the sport pack [17"wheels, tube style running boards,gray painted trim], 80 watt 6 disc cd player, power moonroof, leather int, 3rd row seat [ i didn't really want this, but it might be nice for the next owner], trailer towing package.

it is SWEET! it rides and handles much better than the last gen.

also the headlights are FAR superior to the previous gen, better gas mileage as well.

this one is a keeper

Get a panel K&N for it. I replaced my air filter at 6000 miles. I have the XLS,, 4-Door, V-6. I have NEVER seen an air filter get that black, that fast.

Congratulations on the new purchase. I almost got a new gen Explorer but picked up my black '99 Explorer Sport at such a deal, plus I've known the dealer for years, so he made me an offer I couldn't refuse.
