Well I got my light install almost finished. The wiring is all done for headlights, I haven't run the reverse lights yet. I dropped off my "light bar" (yakima rack) at a welding shop yesterday, and will have it back this afternoon with tabs on it to mount my 4 roof lights. I'm really happy with the way the wiring went. Wiring is one of those things that I'm good at, but I hate doing, until its finished, and then I'm like "hell yeah, I did that?!" I need to buy some more of that crinkley wire conduit stuff to finish off the engine compartment, but for the most part it is finished.
Here are some pictures:
Definitely cussing a lot here

The driving light switch only has power when my brights are on, the fog lights switch only has power when my lows are on. The roof light switches are wired to the parking lamp. I got that three cigarrette outlet adapter and mounted it below the ashtray space, and then cut off then wired it in to the real cigarret lighter back behind. I want to light that space eventually, but have to find the right kind of light.

btw, anyone want to guess what time it is in those pictures?

Looks good.. time? id say 8 am? or 5 pm judging from the shadows.. why may i ask ?

Be sure to clean up the underhood wires, make them neat and tie wrap into a bundle, be sure they are secure and out of the way.

Good luck.....

Time:
First pictures close to 10PM, last pictures close to Midnight...
And that, is one of the reasons I love Alaska!

Damn, great place to do car work in the summer! Nothing beats a flashlight like the sun! Though I guess 6-8 months out of the year you're screwed....

Yeah, I'm pretty sick of Fairbanks winters, I've spent the last couple in other places. We don't loose all sunlight but it gets down to 4 hours a day. Because of the eliptical orbit our sunset/dusk is a lot longer though. It always freaks me out when I'm in Hawaii and the sun sets in like 2 minutes. The cold isn't too bad, you wear layers, but its near imposible to do car work unless you have a garage with a good heater. But summers... middle of Juneish we have 24 hours of sun, its not a bright flaming ball in the sky all day, a good portiion of it is spent on the horizon. But man is solsitce a crazy party :D Its great on a day like yesterday, I didn't really feel like quiting until I had the wiring done...

And yeah, I'll be cleaning up the underhood wiring more. I ran out of that crinkly black conduit stuff, have to buy more today. The conduit can fit several of the wires in it, those are what come off the battery. As soon as I finish that up I'll zip-tie it down.

hehe, just got the call, they finished my light bar... soon my truck can be called Reno (not as bright as Vegas, but still a lot of lights)

your truck's lighting is going to be set up alot like mataddams (sp?). I have a feeling his are more for show then anything else, but with a 4 hours of daylight in the winters, you can really use the candle power. you guys are gonna make me wanna buy a 91-94 and light it up like the 4th of july

Yeah, lighting up the winter nights will be a +. Especially as we do a lot of snowboarding at night, it will be great to be able to aim the lights all over the place. Maybe when I have lots of time and $ I'll have to rig up a little servo and a joystick for moving them around, that would be sweet
