Sup guys. i finally got my PIAA 520 fog lamps for my light bar. I cant install them completely because the light locks are still on their way from carparts.com.

anyways, I just have a few things to ask. can anyone give me some hints on where to put the switch... PIAA's wiring kit is totally simple! but its all bout customization. i dont know where to install the switch in the cab or all that custom stuff that sets my X apart from the rest. also, if i decided merge the PIAA switch with my factory switch so i dont have to bother with another switch, how do i do it? there are four wires coming from my factory switch. Black, red with black stripe, orange and blue. i know one is a ground, one is power, and there are two illumination wires. one to illuminate the fog light symbol, and one to turn on indicating the fog lights are on. on the piaa harness there are three wires. white, red, black. which wires to i run together? which one do i leave??? any suggestions?

Hope it gives you some ideas.

jimbaen - who has had problems with the factory switches? especially PIAA switches? I've installed over 30 sets of lights and I've always used the stock switch and I've never had a problem. Hui, here's some pictures of my switches and relays and all...

In my truck I'm using the stock switches as well...

I have yet to install the switch for my lights on my roof, I am thinking I am going to put it in the overhead console.

whoops, I misread... the stock switch vs. the switch that comes with the lights... never mind then.
