I have a 2007 Eddie Bauer with a rear A/C heat problem. We recently took a long trip from Texas to Arizona and everyting worked fine when we left. One of my sons even asked me why the fan was blowing out from under the left middle seat and I switched it to roof supply vents. That was 7 months ago and I have since noticed that the rear fan no longer blows? I have searched all my manuals and can't find a location for it. I have checked all the fuses and they seem to be okay (althought I'll admit I am not sure I checked the right ones). I have three little'uns who live back there and the Mrs. is on me to get it fixed.

1) where is this fan
2) where are the fuses for it?
3) are there any known problems with their controls?
4) anything I should know about working on the auxilary rear system

Thanks from an uncomfortable Houston Family

1-Fan should be (i've got an '04) driver side rear Quarter panel. .. .see a vent back there thats the intake for it. The whole panel has to come off.

2-not sure, owners manual should have it.

3- Controls not really, what happens when you use the rear controls? On mine i can disable them or allow the rear to control everything.

4-not really, it fairly easy to get to just need to pull the panel.

Common items for the rear air have been (at least here) blend door motor breaks, fan resister burns up (only 1 speed works).

Well I located the fan and tested it with a 12 volt DC power supply. It worked fine. I can not find any fuse or relay location for it but it appears I do not have any power on the cable into it? I can't seem to find where its coming from?

Does anyone know the fuse/relay location? or possibly a reason for to not have power getting to the fan. I am not sure how to test the fan switch. I did remove it from the ceiling console but didn't see a problem.
