HA! That part is funny but I have noticed that the rear of the ol Ex. is a bit lower than the front.

1. Could a new set of shocks help this at all? Originals all around still I believe.

2. The 2.5" of lift that is common is Warrior and they only cost $50 RIGHT??

3. Which do I do first. If the shocks are shot (I mean it really doesn't bounce and sway) and I put on the add-a-leaf and stiffen up the rear end will this suck without beefier shocks. Or do I get better shocks first then the lift?

Thanks for the help!!:D

You won't get 2.5" out of the Warriors. About 1.75". If you lift it that much then you will have to lift the front as well. Which isn't a bad thing but I don't know if you want to do that. You could justy go to a parts store and get a shackle that is about an inch to an inch and a half longer. That would give you about 3/4" lift.

Shocks might help some- I'd say get new shocks anyway, since the stockers aren't as good as Monroes or Gabriels- alot of ppl on this board like the Gabriel VSTs, and the Monroe SensaTracs are pretty good too for the price.

As for the shackles, if you just want to make it level and pick the back end up a bit, you can get the WAR123 instead of the WAR153, and they will lift the rear up about 3/4"- enough to lose the sag. You will have to drill these out and get 14mm bolts to fit, or use the stockers, since the WAR123s are actually for J**p YJ's.

If you have a newer 95+ with the torsion bars in front, you can get the WAR153s and twist the bars to make the front higher to match the rear, and get some lift out of it- you will need an alignment though.

Another option is air shocks. You can get these from Monroe too, and they allow adjustment to just the height you want, plus you can add more air to keep the rear level even when towing or with a heavy load.

Shocks have absolutley nothing to do with the ride height of a vehicle (unless they are air shocks :banghead: ). Their only job is to control suspension rebound. If your shocks are bad, replace them, but don't expect anything more than better handeling from them.

I told my gf that her rear was saggy... and boy did I sure get a shock  okay.. sorry.. im dumb.. haha
