During the cold winter, right when i start my explorer and go driving down the road, my speedo goes higher than it should. EX: going down my street ( limit is 30 mph) itll say something close to 45 or 50. And driving on the highway, with people passing me, the speedo will be burried. But after the engine/drivetrain warms up, itll be normal. Whats up with this? Has this happend to any of you guys ?

I would try lubing the cable or possibly replacing it. I have never had this problem though.

Yeah, i would guess that you need a new speedo cable.. They're pretty hard to lube properly. hell, the speedo cable in my dad's Triumph TR4A fluctuates like a total of 8 mph when your driving so you kinda have to mentaly average the range given by the needle ;) But its
also a '66 (and its British). But the good thing is no cop can bust you b/c the speedo is pretty inaccurate.
