I just got a new kentwood amp with a sony xplod sub yesterday and had someone install it. However today when I was driving the bass stopped and I realized bolth wires that go to the amp from the sub were out. They were connected to the amp through a blue terminal. I managed to get the wire back in the blue terminal connector and tried to crimp it but it still keeps coming out! Can anyone help me out please?

Try and expose more of the actual wire so you can kinda wrap it through and around the terminal. You just want some stable contact. Then crimp it with some pliers or something. I mean you could even duct tape it or something, but I'd try and do it right.

It sounds like the person who did the install probably used Fork Terminal connectors.

If this is just where the speaker wire goes into the Amplifier terminals, then you can just take the connector off and feed the wire directly into the amp. Just make sure no bare wire is hanging out of the amplifier terminal and you will be fine.

I had the same problem when my box would shift around sometimes.. i did what Pandoras is suggesting and took the fork terminals off and just ran the wires straight into the amp. No problems since then :)

I use screw mount zip-ties on all of my wiring, but if that's not an option you could consider mounting the box or just running a longer piece of speaker wire. also if it has cripm on forks, cut them off.
