My tranny finally died...

my 94 has 253k and it finally is dead. I do have to say i got a hell of a lot of milage out of it. Now the only problem is that they want so much to rebuild the damn thing that i dont really want to do it. I may buy something else. I was looking at a 99 sport for a good price. If i can find a cosign i will probley buy that instead. I cant see spending 2500 on a tranny for a vehicle worth 5000. well i sure loved it until it died.

look into buying a trannie from Phoenix... they apparently do a decent job... for much less.

Go to local junkyards and look for explorer. Look for wrecked explorers. Then look at the milage. If it's low tell them you want the tranny. Ask for a receipt!
