Well on my way to school this morning, my truck would not start. It would turn just fine just not start. Dang I thought to myself. I remembered how every morning there always was a "hum" sound coming out of my hood so I researched online
Everyone said the IAC valve was the problem of slugged idle or start, then shut off. But no one stated it would cause the truck not to start at all. I decide to take the IAC off anyways and man is this thing dirty. I check inside and clean it all out. I was still not satisfied tho because no one ever said anything about this causing the truck NOT to start. I then popped off the blue cap and to check to see if I had fuel pressure(keep in mind the IAC was off and was soaking in cleaner) My dad then turned the truck on and wa la, the truck started up instantly(and fuel shot all over). After cleaning the IAC and reinstalling it it works fine. I will buy a new one down the road because it is still pretty black inside.
So for you people whos truck will turn over but wont start, check the IAC.
