My X is down and I don't know why!

Livenamoment, My Haynes manual says 65 psi maximum.
I'll check the wiring harness for mouse damage this weekend.
The "expert" my wife found on the net says he thinks it's a short circuit in the harness or the PCM. I'm hoping for a bare wire!

This might help you - it is the pinout for the PCM connector. This is for a 97 - your 99 should be very close to this. I would disconnect the harness from the PCM and then test between VPWR (in the harness) and ground. You should not have continuity. You could also test between VPWR and some of the other circuits to see if there may be a short between some of the wires in the harness.

Hi all, I had the same codes. It was PCM fuse nimber 13. Peplace it today, Truck runs good, but I am wondering why the fuse blew and I am scared to drive it any distance from home:banghead:

Blew the fuse! What could cause fuse to blow?

Edit new codes are 0171 and 0174?

Hey guys, I seem to have thrown the same codes.

Did RamNJam or Rapture ever resolve the problem? If so what did you do? Take it to Ford? If so what did they get you for?

I think I fixed the problem. I blew a fuse that controlled most of the items above (15A fuse in I believe location 13). I replaced the fuse and drove around 10 miles tonight and everything seems to be going smoothly.
