I had a '91 with about 162k and it made horrible clunking noises when you came into my driveway, and the '94 that we owned at the time was wonderful. It could actually hit a bump and survive. Well now the '94 is mine and it's slowly turning into the '91.

It's very harsh when you hit bumps or dips or anything of the sort. Would new shocks fix this? Springs? Bushings is something that would be kind of expensive to fix, so I'm hoping that wouldn't be the answer.

Hope you guys have some answers.

Thanks.

It's probably in need of new ball joints shocks and stearing parts and peices. Nothing that you can't do yourself without a manual. :)

My 95 rode like a tank before I put new shocks on. Cheap and easy way to make the ride 200% better.

What kind of steering parts? There IS a lot of play in the steering and i want to get rid of it. What would you recommend?

Bad ball joints, idler arms and tie rod ends will make your truck seem like it has loose steering. They, along with the radius arm bushings can also cause clunks when they go bad. Jack your truck up and make sure you have no play in any of the joints in the front suspension and steering.

As stated before, new shocks can make a world of difference!!
