Mystery boxes

Hey all, could anyone please tell me what these two "boxes" are. They are supported by a shelf, underside of vehicle , above the spare tire , on the drivers side.

The charcoal canister for the fuel vapors is located above the spare tire in a big box looking thing. at least that's the only thing located above the spare on my '95. so there's the answer to one mystery box.
