OK, I'll get right into it.

my batter was going mostly dead for some time now if I didnt start it every day. Now, after it sits for a day I turn the key and it starts to act like the bat is dead but then starts to turn over at a normal speed but not start (after 6-8 sec.), second shot, it either turns over without starting or starts right up (if it doesnt start, it does on the 3rd try right away).

my thoughts:
Fuel pump relay getting stuck on (being that if left alone the battery will only drain down to 8-9v and stay there, not drain all the way dead) I'm thinking that once it gets to 9v, the relay cant energize anymore and opens the circuit.... so, what would keep the relay on? I doubt its the relay itself being that it opens after the bat is drained....

or

could it be something else? becides for running rich no other CEL codes up.

v8's used to fry the start solenoids that were on the old big starters.

could be just a weak relay also.

thats another thing.... a few times I went to start it and it had all the symtoms of a dead battery... I let it set for a few hours, went to jump it and for some reason I tried to start it before jumping it and it started right up without hesitation. Only happened a few times.

So could the starter solenoid be draining the battery? (the solenoid on the starter that is)

that or check the battery cables.

are they tight? clean, is the ground also clean?
