n00b intro....

Just wanted to say Hi with post #2. Post #1 was a thank you for helping with my keyless entry......good info on this site!

Well when I say I'm a n00b I mean it. I just traded my old '91 GMC 1500 yesterday for a '97 XLT 5.0 AWD, and all I can say is....WHY DIDN'T I DO THIS SOONER!!!

I'm sure I'll be asking pleanty of questions and looking for mods as soon as the war chest gets built back up.....that was a pretty decent check I wrote yesterday!

I'm looking to get a cargo mat for the back so the dogs don't muddy it up too much......and suggestions or reccomended reading here?

Just a follow-up. Yesterday was the 1st time I got to "use" the 4WD. An old dirt road no longer maintaned. Muddy and rutted......no problem what so ever. My old 2WD truck would have got stuck looking at this road. My buddy had to pull 3 other trucks up......

Seems like you like offroading. I'll just give you alittle jump start into the modding bug (which you deffinitly will get if you stick around here ). A torsion bar twist and shackles will let your run 31" tires TONS of threads about this lift....i'll, leave it at that mwahahahaha

Yea, I hear ya....but I don't mind the Cass, since I still have about 600 hours on cassette and the truck is the only place I have to listen to them........Caught "The Dead" in St Louie and Chicago last summer......it was ok......painfully obvious that Jer is gone. .....Phil's band is where it's at now.......those guys are friggin out there! You ever D/L shows?
