Sometimes when I start her up the engine makes this really loud and annoying clanking noise...I've asked some people but they all tell me its coming from the catalytic converter.

I assure you it isn't coming from the CC...it goes away after about 10 minutes of driving...the clanking sounds REALLY REALLY bad like something is about to explode. It sounds like it is coming from inside the cooling system or something near the front of the engine compartment.

Anyone have this same problem?

well then noise isn't at any rpm range at all...its through the whole rpm band.

I think that you will find some posts where the noise "subsides" with warm up... much like your condition. The question is: Do you have a SOHC engine.... if so, the cause of your noise is very likely as posted / suggested.
