On my way home from work today, my 91' Navajo decided that while stopped at stoplights in drive, that it wants to die. The idle starts to drop as I slow my truck down, and if I don't give it gas at the dead stop (with my foot on the brake) the volts will drop, and the idle gives up. The lights dim and the whole 9 yards, unless I keep my foot on the gas. What could be causing this?

Dirty IAC valve si my first thought.

If you shift into neutral, will it idle normally? Does it only happen when the engine is warm?

No, it wants to die then too. I think it is the IAC, after doing a search on it- I have all the classic symptoms. Weekend project!
