I have a pioneer avic n2 and I put the gps antenna on the roof of my truck. Now this may sound like a stupid question but in the owners manual it tells you to put the gps antenna inside the car when you go through the car wash which is understandable. My question is , is it ok to leave the antenna out in the rain? I have left it out these last couple rain showers and havent noticed it not working but I just thought I would ask if this was bad for it to leave it out.

I cannot imagine a GPS antenna that is not weatherproof. I have a Garmin antenna on mine and it is always left on ( I would never go through a car wash anyway ).

Good luck ..........

It'll be fine outside. I have a couple friends that work at a car wash and they say those Support Our Troops magnets are always getting stuck to the equipment in there. That's probably why there's a recommendation for putting it inside the vehicle as it does have a magnet.
