Hello to everyone. I'm new to the board and own a 1997 Ford Explorer Sport with over 207,000 miles. It may be the end of the road for my baby, but time will tell.

mine had 257k with a blown head gasket. i ended up putting a new motor in it, but i gave the old one to a buddy who replaced the gasket, swapped it into his ranger, and she's still running just fine.

yeah there is stil life in your explorer i got mine with 110,000 miles now im well over 260,00 and i dont beat it just up keep on it the only problem i had was the previous owner put bars stop leak in it to seal a pin hole in the intake gasket which was found out after purchase flushed the system to help out the rust in the block but needless to so bought the gasket tore it down and replaced it and that was 120,000 miles still going good i also have my street daily driven beater that will out run stock gt mustangs like its nothing and its a 1992 4.0 mazda najavo stick with some interals done but im also from maryland to glad your on the forum
