...............the other day in all the ice

set off from home, very slowly, got to the top of our street, about 40 yards, slowly turned left into the bend and the car carried on going forwards, looked like i was going through the guys fence and into his garden, but she thumped heavily into the curb on the front offside wheel and came to rest.
i was only doing walking speed, but when she slipped she accelerated sideways and looked like nothing was gonna stop her, pictured this

so its up on the ramp in a day or so too see if theres any damage. doesnt feel like it. but gonna check.

mick.

glad to hear your ok, hope ex is ok:thumbsup:,might have been a lot worse, ex is great in present weather conditions but when you hit ice you are in hands of gods, let us all know how ex is.

Hmmm I nearly lost it too, felt the back trying to pass me on a bend.... put in 4b4 low, all fine...wish they would grit the back roads.

sorry to hear glad alls well though.ive had no trouble with the ice or snow touch wood but its got insa traction tracks on at the moment and cant fault them at the moment (apart from slight military sound lol)maybe try some a/t might help somewhat

Be sure to check your wheel(s) for a possible bent situation.

They bend easily.....even a slight bump will make them wobbly.

Nobody talks about this.....but I have a homemade dial indicator that I run against my wheels....and I have discovered this ..... a wheel that runs true will give you a much better ride.

cheers fella's.

the big problem was the camber, as you negotiate the bend/corner there is a fairly heavy camber to the right, that was like glass, literaly.

not been on the ramp as yet, but i am glad to say nothing untoward has been felt whilst driving, fingers crossed,

mick.
