I Need a brake proportioning valve!!!

On my Explorer, my brake porportioning valve has sprung a nasty leak. Could any one let me know where I can find this valve. I have looked at every local parts store and every one tells me to go to the dealer. The dealer wants $320 for the valve. I also went to every junk yard in town and not one Explorer had the valve on it. If any one had had this problem in the past I could use all the help I can get finding one of these valves.

Thanks for your help

Check with Torrie at fastpartsnetwork.com (he is a sponser of this site).

I'm not sure if I found the part you are looking for, but I found the following for $157.28
MODULATOR valve, Explorer 91-94 $157.28
Brakes - Anti-lock brakes - Modulator valve

you can email him to make sure its the right part.

Mark, I can't tell if this is the part or not with out seeing a picture. I have had the valve called several diffrent things; a brake equlizer valve, the brake proportioning valve, the brake valve. If it helps the brake fluid that is leaking is driping from directly under the drivers seat. I have been under there and tucked away in the frame rail there is a valve that the two lines from the master cylender go in to and there is four lines out that go to each wheel. At least thats what it looks like. I hope this discripiton helps you in any way, and thank you for taking the time to help me. I'll be in touch with you if any thing changes.

I pretty sure thats the right part.. its the ABS valve on a '92 with RABS..

Torrie should be able to find it in the FSM or exploded parts view and then he can tell you if its the part on the frame rail under the drivers seat.. But as far as I know, thats the ABS valve, which is what I found.. btw.. shipping for smallish things from him is $7.88 (2 cabin air filters shipped for that price)
