need a little help...

i have a 96 4dr xlt 4.0 with shackles/tt , 32's and i currently have a short ram intake but would like to change it and add a snorkle... its been pouring out here for some days now and this place where me and some buddies go muddin around here are actually filled with water now because of the rain so we ended up goin and my filter got SOAKED and i didnt hydrolock but im afraid i might next time... what are my options for a snorkle or where can i get one?

Do a little searching and you'll find quite a few guys that made their own snorkels. I don't think anything is available commercially specifically for 2nd gen explorers though...
 






so i would have to build my own also?
 






Most likely yes, but there are tons of write ups on how to do it on here. PVC piping and some sealing for the airbox is really all you need.

It can be done mate, some guy did it here and posted pics- a bit of cutting to do!
You are brave to cut yor EX if you go ahead.
Seems to me that it would be easier to come out the front of the car- I know it would not look so cool as up by the side of the cab- but, you have to cut the inner and outta skins and thats way too much for most I am sure!
