Hey guys, I just celebrated the one year anniversary of when I bought my Explorer. A year later and 16k miles, not a single thing has gone wrong with it and I'm extatic! :)

That said, the exhaust is about to fall off and I have a few questions that I hope some can chime in on. Does a bad exhaust decrease power and gas milage? Also, What are some suggestions for the best choice as far as exhaust replacements go? I hear MF is just not that great on an SOHC...

Thanks guys!

If the exhaust has holes/leaking you could have loss of backpressure and thus decrease in performance and mileage. I dont think you can go wrong with Magnaflow, Flowmaster, or as TooMany said Dynomax. I have a Flowmaster Force II catback on my Sport and love it. Not too loud but has a nice rumble for a V6. I believe there is alot more options for the SOHC you have.

Thanks guys. I have also heard that FW sounds less than stellar on SOHC so I may avoid that.

I got the one advance auto sells.. I enjoyed the sound a lot.
